An employee declaration confirming acknowledgment of all occupational safety and health measures at the workplace, in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act. The document includes confirmation of completed training, reviewed instructions, and acceptance of the obligation to comply with prescribed measures.
A declaration can help document that a worker has been informed of safety rules and has agreed to follow them. However, under Indian law, a declaration cannot automatically exempt an employer from statutory liability for workplace injuries. Obligations under laws such as the Employees' Compensation Act, 1923, the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 (when applicable), and other labour laws cannot generally be waived by a private declaration.
